Oberlin, OH, March 14, 2025 —The Natural Stone Institute (NSI) is proud to announce the expansion of its Silica & Slab Certificate Program, now available in Spanish. This initiative ensures that Spanish-speaking stone industry professionals have access to vital silica safety training, reinforcing NSI’s commitment to workplace safety and education.
Spanish translation of these safety courses was underwritten by the Natural Stone Foundation. Foundation Board President Brie Pfannenbecker stated, “The Foundation is proud to underwrite Silica & Slab Certificate resources for Spanish-speaking stone professionals. This aligns with one of the fundamental pillars of the foundation – support of educational opportunities.”
The Spanish-language training program complements the updated English version released in 2023 and is now available online, providing accessible and comprehensive safety training to a broader workforce.
